One writer is offered the opportunity for a five-day writing residency in a studio in Newtown from March 6-10, 2023.
This residency offers uninterrupted writing time with plenty of city-life inspiration on your doorstep. The residency is for someone who has caring responsibilities that limit their ability to crack on with their work. It could be a parent struggling to write with children around, or someone who cares for a loved one who is elderly, or has a disability or illness.
The studio offers a writing desk with a lovely window, Wi-Fi, bed, bathroom, bar fridge, microwave, and tea making facilities. The studio is very private, up twenty stairs in a building separate to the main house, so you will not be disturbed unless you want to be! Whilst meals are not provided, breakfast provisions will be available, and cafés and cheap eateries are in easy walking distance.
The studio is located a two-minute walk from the main street and from Macdonaldtown train station, and a ten minute walk to Erskineville or Newtown Train Stations.
