WORDS / NO WORDS
Call for Poetry Submissions
NOW OPEN – 4 August to 5 September
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and their continued spiritual and cultural connection to, and custodianship of, Country on which we live and create.
Based at Coledale, near Wollongong, the South Coast Writers Centre serves writers and readers in the NSW South Coast area between Helensburgh and Eden, and west into the Southern Highlands (approximately 34 to 37 degrees South latitude).
We now invite members to submit poetry for an anthology of poetry on the theme of ‘Words / No Words’
The editors are looking for engaging poetry of all forms. We want writing that is memorable and uses language well, writing that shows a clever take on the theme ‘words/no words’ and points the reader to the dynamic poetry of the Illawarra, South Coast, Far South Coast and Southern Highlands of NSW.
Send us your best new, polished work.
There are no prizes. Your reward is that, if selected, your poem(s) will appear in the anthology.
Your entry fee will support the work of the South Coast Writers Centre.
The SCWC Hardship Fund is available to members and their children who lack the financial means to attend SCWC workshops, events or courses, or to become members. If you need access to the fund, please email us.
Before submitting your poem, we strongly suggest browsing our past anthologies in digitised form below or purchasing physical editions from our shop.
