The South Coast Writers Centre is the licensee of Wollongong City Council’s Coledale Community Hall. Our hall and meeting room are available for hire for meetings, classes, birthday parties, musical performances and more.

About Coledale Community Hall
The Centre’s hall is comprised of an auditorium with regular seating capacity of 144 people, a raised stage with theatre style curtains, two backstage dressing rooms, a separate sound desk, and a piano. It has high ceilings and a polished wooden hall. Hall hire includes access to a commercial style kitchen and an outdoor courtyard.
The Centre’s meeting room faces the Coledale cliffs and offers ocean views. It is a carpeted space that comes with chairs and tables and includes access to a kitchenette. The hall and meeting room have a connective door and can be hired together as a complete space.
Accessibility: the centre has a wheel chair accessible ramp leading to the entrance of the hall.
Public transport: the centre is located 90m or a 2 minute walk from the nearest bus stop or is 350m from Coledale Train Station.
SCWC Office: Our offices are located on the ground floor and are accessed from the back of the building on the corner of Northcote Street and Hyde Lane.
