Our Mural

In partnership with Wollongong City Council, the South Coast Writers Centre is so thrilled to have the artwork of Brad Eastman (Beastman) on the Coledale Community Hall in which our office is located!

This stunning design took four days to complete and was directly inspired by local poet Mark Tredinnick. Informing Mark’s poem was the work of local people who attended his writing workshops in January. In this way, the mural directly represents the brightness and creativity of our amazing community!

Very soon we will provide access to Mark’s poem to anyone who walks by the mural via a QR code, allowing viewers to hear the beautiful words that inspired this gorgeous piece of art.

In the future, the poem will also be displayed in full on an inside wall of Coledale Community Hall, to display the creative minds of the local people and the amazing writing presence we have in our community.
