SCWC Writer-In-Residence: Julie Keys
We are thrilled to announce that Julie Keys is the SCWC’s Writer-In-Residence for 2021. Julie Keys is the author of The Artist’s Portrait. She holds a PhD in Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong and her debut novel was shortlisted for the Richell Prize in 2017.
Starting on the 15th of January, Julie will be hosting a writer-in-residence day at the South Coast Writers Centre in Coledale, on Fridays between 9:30am and 1pm. From 9:30am - 12:00pm you can come along and write with Julie. This won’t be a facilitated group, but will encourage quiet, focused and companionly writing. From 12:00om - 1:00pm Julie will host an informal chat about writing. You’ll have a chance to discuss where you’re up to and talk about writing, books and the literary things we love.
These sessions are free and open to any South Coast Writers Centre member who wants to come along. Please note, due to capacity restrictions, numbers are capped at 12, so please book ahead. You’re welcome to come to both or just one of the sessions.
