Dreaming Inside Vol. 8 Launch Highlights

Auspiced by the South Coast Writers Centre and initiated by Wadi Wadi Elder Aunty Barbara Nicholson, the Ngana Barangarai (Black Wallaby) project that produces the anthology has been running for nine years. The project sends writers to Junee to run workshops with the inmates, and the anthologies are a collection of the writing produced in those workshops.

Each volume is a glimpse into the lives of First Nations inmates as they describe their culture, feelings and experiences through poetry, prose and song lyrics.

Volume 8 of the anthology was launched at Wollongong Art Gallery on Thursday 15 October 2020, with speakers Mike Griffiths, Aunty Barbara Nicholson and Yvette Holt. You can buy copies of each volume of the anthology from the SCWC online store here: southcoastwriters.org/shop
